Brisbane

Due to the rapidly growing number of international fans, here's another post in English!

3 Days ago we arrived in Brisbane, Australia's third-largest city and locally known as BrisVegas. The city has a very nice central business district bounded by a U-shaped loop of the Bisbane River. So far the boring facts... Thanks to Bob (a classmate of Bert's who has done an internship in Brisbane), we could stay with Pat right in the middle of the city. Pat welcomed us with open arms and took us for a drive around the city. First stop was Mount Coot-tha, where we had a brilliant view of the entire city. We also drove along the Brisbane River, the CBD and the different suburbs. We had a superb barbeque dinner and afterwards we went for a couple of drinks in The Valley.

The next day we explored the city centre and took a look at the city mall, the city hall, the christmas tree, the botanic gardens and the south bank. To thank Pat, we made him and his roommate (also named Pat) a delicious lasagna. After dinner, we met up with the girls at the Down Under Bar. Suddenly the bartender announced a dancing contest with a 50 dollar cash prize for the winner. And guess who won? Yes indeed, Steven and Candice shook their booties better than everybody else and and proudly cashed the 50 bucks!

On our last day in Brizzie, we took the famous CityCat on the Brisbane River together with Carmen and Candice. We got some fantastic views of the city...
Because we wanted to spend our 50 dollars wisely, we dined out and had a massive steak! Yummie!

Now on our way to Surfers Paradise...

Stevens danslessen werpen kennelijk vruchten af... Zijn Weense (plet)wals moet daar blijkbaar indruk gemaakt hebben. Wederom mooie foto's! Amuseer jullie daar nog!
